The Sock Dart is a massively successful silhouette, first releasing in 2004 and then appearing again in 2014. Since then it’s had a constant presence in the sneaker world. Now, Nike have unveiled a brand new mid version of the shoe.
The shoe has always strictly been a low top silhouette, however the recent Nike x Stone Island Sock Dart extended this to nearly a mid top model, and it was a huge success. Nike seem to have taken this on board, and now they’ve unveiled teaser images of the mid edition of the sneaker.
All the features from the standard Sock Dart are apparent here, including the ever comfortable sole. The same leather heel patch that was featured on the Stone Island edition can be seen here too, and the sock like upper where the model gets its name from. The upper here extends much further up the ankle though, hence the mid silhouette. The construction of the sock part is formed of neoprene, an extraordinarily comfortable material designed to insulate and support.
The updated Sock Dart Mid is the perfect shoe for the upcoming winter, coming in both olive and navy colourways it won’t be hard to incorporate into an outfit. If you want to get your hands on a pair, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a little longer as no official release date has been disclosed yet. However, expect a general release, so they won’t be too hard to get hold of.
